McNEWS

(Landscape Orientation)
The McNews system allows us to project JPGs (graphics), MPGs (videos) and SWF files (animations) onto three widescreen display's around the school.

The displays use an output resolution of
720P (1280px x 720px)

Note as of 2017, we need to leave a 100px "title safe" exterior margin to make sure all text is visible on some of the older displays. Download THIS file to see the correct format:

Flash animations can also be used - but we'll use a slightly smaller format to save memory

ANIMATIONS (SWF)
- 24fps
(800x450 px)

Videos can be used on the system, but they must be rendered in a particular file format as well:

VIDEOS (MP4)
720P

TECHDISPLAY

(Portrait Orientation)
The "TechDisplay" is a high resolution system with a TOTAL resolution of 1280x720 pixels

The animated "Banner" uses up the top 200 pixels, leaving a 1080px x 720px portrait orientation canvas available for artwork.

YOUR TASK is to create that 1080px x 720px artwork, demonstrating:
  • Effective, eye catching TYPOGRAPHY
  • Skillful use of PHOTOSHOP
  • Effective use of Graphics and or Photography
